Outquest Privacy Policy

Outquest is built to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains exactly what that means.

Your content stays on your device

Every outquest you create — your questions, your reactions, and your answers — is stored locally on your own device. This content is never uploaded to us, never transmitted to any server, and is never accessible to us or anyone else. We cannot see it.

No accounts

Outquest does not require an account. We do not ask for or store your name, email, or any personal profile information.

Event information and IP addresses

To display current events, the app periodically connects to our website to check for event information. As with any internet connection, this request includes your device's IP address, which is recorded in our hosting provider's standard server logs. We use this only to deliver event information. We do not use it to identify you, we do not link it to any identity, and we have no way of connecting an IP address to a specific person. We keep no accounts or profiles that could make such a connection.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store, and are managed using a third-party service called RevenueCat. To determine whether a subscription is active, we receive subscription status information (such as whether a subscription is active or expired) from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment details. RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier to manage subscription status and does not receive information that identifies you personally. Apple's and RevenueCat's handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for any purpose.

Children's privacy

Outquest does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Deleting your data

Because your content is stored on your device, deleting your outquests or removing the app deletes that data. We hold no copy of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version with a new date.
